Pierce County Fair

Fair Update-February 2024

We are excited for all the new exhibits you are making for the 2024 Pierce County Fair. We can’t wait for August 8th thru August 11th, 2024!

Premium Checks

There are 100 premium checks at a value of $1794.00 still outstanding. Please cash them ASAP (this would be a great starter fund for a new project)! Sometimes recipients don’t feel like a small amount is worth cashing; however, this helps our fair and Pierce County balance the books accurately and receive state monetary awards.

2024/2025 Premium Books

We are busy editing and updating the Premium Book. We hope to have it published by April. We are excited to see everyone’s creativity!

Our Fair theme is “Small Towns – Big Hearts”

Fair Signs

We are always looking for more signs for the Fair Sign Program. We are constantly told by many fairgoers that they really enjoy seeing your work and enthusiasm! Winter is a great time to plan and create a sign. This is how it works – We will pay any Youth Organization $25 for designing a new sign promoting the Pierce County Fair or $10 for changing the dates on an existing sign or do both. Get permission to place your sign in a great spot and set it up!

Important Details: The sign must be four feet by eight feet and include the following:

Pierce County Fair – August 8th thru August 11th – Ellsworth and your chapter/club name. Do not use any words detracting from the fair message. More information will come by June involving sign-up and display.

Fair Benches/Picnic Tables/Trees

If you would like to donate a bench or tree for $150 or a picnic table for $250, go to: https://www.co.pierce.wi.us/departments/fair/index.php and download the form.

Century/Sesquicentennial Farms

Every year the Pierce County Fair along with the Wisconsin State Fair recognizes the long heritage of manty our county farms. We would love to recognize your family for this accomplishment. Here are the qualifications:

  1. The farm/home (in whole or part) must have continuous family ownership.
  2. Title of the century or sesquicentennial property must currently reside with a blood relative of the original owner, or legally adopted child of a descendant.
  3. Continuous residence on the property or in the state is not required, but the title must be continuous.
  4. An abstract of title is the best proof of continuous family ownership.
  5. Application deadline to the Pierce County Fair is February 22, 2024.
  6. Contact Liz Dietsche at 715.273.6874 or liz.dietsche@co.pierce.wi.us for an application.

The Pierce County Fair will recognize the honorees on Sunday, August 11th, 2024.

Superintendents Needed

It takes a small army to make the Pierce County Fair a success and without volunteers managing the exhibits in the many departments, we couldn’t do it! We need superintendents in the following departments:

  • Cultural Arts – Junior Fair – 2 Volunteers
  • Animal & Veterinary Science & Demonstrations & Presentations – Junior Fair – 1 Volunteer

Contact Liz Dietsche at 715.273.6874 or liz.dietsche@co.pierce.wi.us for more information.

Summer Office Staff Needed

We need someone who has flexible hours and can work 50 plus hours during the Fair. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and willing to learn the various programs supporting the Fair along with working in a fast-paced team atmosphere. This is a full-time summer job. Contact Liz Dietsche at 715.273.6874 or liz.dietsche@co.pierce.wi.us for more information.
